CAROLINE WALLACE

LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST #153163

APPROACH

I am a warm, playful and imaginative presence in the therapy. Together we will explore your memories, dreams, associations and the variety of your emotional experience. I don’t give advice or tools. I stoke a curiosity in my patients that brings about introspection and self-understanding. It is my goal to cultivate an environment for healing to take place.

I work with creative people. I strive to extend my mind to you so that we can understand your experience with greater richness, empathy and awareness. I am interested in how you organize your world. I have experience working with patients with childhood’s containing neglect and trauma, those experiencing conflict in relationships, and people who feel like they just can’t seem to launch. I also enjoy working with people who have undergone psychedelic assisted psychotherapy and are looking to further integrate those experiences.

Together we will look for patterns in your life. We create using the materials of emotions, memories, dreams, and impressions.

I utilize a psychoanalytic approach which you can read more about here.

For patients interested in processing specific traumatic events I integrate EMDR for a combination of bilateral stimulation and psychoanalytic talk therapy. Learn more about EMDR here.
